MetroStar Systems is an award-winning IT management consulting firm that works with over 20 public sector clients across law enforcement, foreign affairs, military, and regulatory. We are looking for a Director of Growth to expand and grow our Civilian Business Unit with a particular focus across the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The successful candidate will be able to conduct business development and capture simultaneously across 3-4 large ($25M+) solicitations per Fiscal Year (FY). The ideal candidate will be able to develop account plans, establish customer contacts, support proposals processes, and capture activities. You're a great fit if: You have a knack for technology (Cloud, DevSecOps, Engineering) and Business DevelopmentYou have fostered deep relationships in USDA to include specific relationships across USDA FSA, FNS, and NASSYou're a closer with a keen focus on how your day-to-day business development activities affect the bottom line and support strategic growth initiatives You'll love our position if: (This is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit) You have over 7 years of strong leadership, teamwork, interpersonal skills and experience managing multiple business development efforts and crafting capture planYou have proven relationships across Civilian agencies (including deep relationships within the USDA), and have worked in a capacity on capture activities in past 4 yearsYou have an excellent understanding of government procurement, Federal contracts, regulations, procedures, and operations and maintenance serviceYou have a passion for problem solving and using emerging technologies to successfully meet client requirementYou have the ability to travel across the United States to customer sites, as required, in order to help capture activities, foster relationships, and gain intelligence throughout the industry What your day will look like: You'll proactively identify new business opportunities within the Civilian/USDA market and qualify opportunities in alignment with MetroStar's Practice Areas and SolutionYou'll develop relationships with CIOs and GS-13 and above levels across USDAYou'll be responsible for analyzing the market and market opportunities, providing recommendations for pursuit, and researching public domain materials to develop leads, contacts, and capture planYou'll actively participate in industry groups and conferences to represent and promote our company's capabilitiesYou'll support responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) as well as Requests for Information (RFI)You'll manage weekly reporting and analysis of the business development pipeline, including development of company business development presentations as requireYou'll develop a sales/account plan to provide market overview and sales/marketing strategy for achieving defense sales target and build appropriate pipelines to achieve organizational sales targetYou'll lead capture and leverage our customer relationship management (CRM) system to identify and communicate accurate and predictable metrics in pursuit with executive team
