Overview / Responsibilities Wood is currently seeking a Construction Manager/Site Superintendent to support our Program/Construction Management (PM/CM) Practice. This full-time position will require travel to jobs sites around the United States. This full-time Construction Manager/Site Superintendent position will work closely with Amec Foster Wheeler's project teams executing general contractor construction projects. This position requires familiarity with design-build, engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), and design-bid-build procurement and execution for various construction project types, including vertical new construction, building renovation, and/or civil/site infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include: onsite supervision of construction subcontractors, proactive management of safety/quality/change/risk, leading progress meetings with project stakeholders, verifying contractor cost/schedule, tracking and closure of RFI's/submittals, coordination of commissioning, and project closeout and documentation. Skills / Qualifications We are seeking self-motivated professionals with: * 5+ years of relevant construction management/site superintendent experience * Experience supervising construction subcontractors with responsibility for monitoring the day-to-day field operations to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals are achieved * Must be willing to travel as required to support our major and minor programs * Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills * Extensive experience with construction plans and specifications, and relating that to project scope, schedule, and cost * Commitment to safety - OSHA 30-hour training preferred * Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC programs to ensure work conforms to the contract documents * Liaison between contractors, designers, owners, and end-users * Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree, or equivalent experience in a construction-related position * Certifications preferred (e.g., CCM, PE) * Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy Company Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
