Job DescriptionDon't just take a job - advance your career!Veterinary Surgical Centers (VSC), the leading small animal surgery and rehabilitation practice in Northern Virginia, is seeking energetic and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) to join our growing team.The ideal candidate will be a positive and energetic individual with one to three years of veterinary experience. Candidates with experience in specialty veterinary medicine will be preferred. This candidate will be working at a NEW medical step down unit (SDU) in our Vienna, VA location to provide an intermediate level of care for stable post-operative and rehabilitation patients. He/she also will: Be a team player, who excels whether in a group or working alone Possess strong communication and problem-solving skills Be comfortable with multi-parameter monitoring equipment, inhalant, and injectable anesthesia agents Have a passion for improving quality of life for animals Excel at multitasking and working cooperatively with others Be self-motivated and take initiative with responsibilities Duties to include: Provide clinical care to overnight patients while monitoring post-operative status Performing all laboratory in-hospital procedures and to prepare specimens for outside laboratories Taking patient histories, vital signs, and weights on patients Administering medication as necessary Perform basic computer skills and be able to complete all necessary paperwork We are looking to fill full-time positions for our Vienna location.This position is for overnight shifts, Saturdays and Sundays!
