Job Summary We are looking to fill a critical role for a Contracts Manager. In this role the Manager will manage proposals, administrations, and general business processes of contract management for both government and commercial programs, in accordance with company policies, acquisition regulations and customer requirements. Responsibilities Performs contract negotiations and management contracts of all types, mostly FP commercial and GSA. Serve as the contracts lead on competitive proposal efforts in support of business development activities in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as the government solicitation. Provides guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team members to identify risk assessment and mitigation. Understands the business case and has an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information. Leads contract negotiations on non-disclosure and teaming agreements. Interacts directly with customers and senior management personnel. Regularly interact with programs, contracts, project control, finance, business development and with customers as required. Support internal/external audit activities as well as data request from internal / external customers. Manage contract administration database, including maintenance of contractual deadlines and terms, and ensuring that all contracts are electronically scanned and uploaded into database. Interfaces directly with members of other departments, outside counsel and vendors regarding a variety of issues as assigned. Exercises an extremely high level of sensitivity, ability to think quickly, and professionalism when interfacing internal and external contacts. Preliminarily evaluates and assesses general requirement relating to legal contractual issues and utilizes established guidelines and analytical thinking to make recommendations at an advanced level. Independently responds to standard legal inquires that do not require action by outside counsel. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors' Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 7 years of related work experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelors' Degree. Experience preparing, maintaining, retrieving, and communicating records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate and Contract Management requirements. Experience interfacing with all levels of the project team (includes representing and interfacing with all levels of internal and/or external management and corporate organization person's documents). Experience with a variety of contract types in addition to working knowledge of FAR/GSAR. Experience with GSA contract administration. Reviews and resolves all issues effecting compliance and ensures satisfaction of legal requirements, company, and customer objectives Provides creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in contract administration. Participates in planning and policy development issues. Researches and recommends contact policies and procedures. Works on more complex proposals regarding contractual requirements. As contract subject matter expert, advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions, and assists in developing guidance. Preferred Qualifications: Self-starter and independent worker with good organizational and computer skills. Excellent negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions. Outstanding interpersonal skills to deal effectively with executive management and staff regarding contracts issues with high degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution.
