K12's Career and Technical Education programs provide students with a personalized education that prepares them for success in today's high-skilled careers. In addition to academic core courses, students take electives that allow them to explore career areas of interest and prepare them for their next step?whether that's college, career, or both. We are looking for a strong leader that is passionate about Career and Technical Education to shape, guide and grow this emerging business at K12. The selected candidate will: * Lead the Company-wide effort to build a robust Career and Technical Education business * Drive Product Management for the Career and Technical Education business, including developing revenue models * Own the P&L responsibility for K12's Career and Technical Education business * Build lasting partnerships with 2 year post-secondary schools specializing in Career and Technical Education, junior colleges, corporations, and trade associations * Develop market research on career opportunities and define the most relevant content to build * Develop market research on family and student decisions leading to a robust marketing strategy * Develop the model to determine if content is built internally vs licensed externally * Build positive brand recognition for K12 in the Career and Technical Education space Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and experience: * Leadership and Vision -- Demonstrated ability to define and articulate a strategic vision where teams willingly go above and beyond to achieve success. * Business Acumen ? Demonstrated success assessing market opportunities and introducing products and services to meet market needs. * Relationship Building ? Must "own" this business and hold themselves and others accountable to developing and achieving rigorous business plans. * Courage ?
