Verisign, a global provider of domain name registry services and internet security, enabling internet navigation for many of the world?s most recognized domain names and providing protection for websites and enterprises around the world is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Corporate Communications to create and deliver competitive external communication programs and media activity in support of Verisign?s products and services.? This position will work closely with the Verisign leadership team aligning media coverage with Verisign?s goals and objectives and desired messaging.The individual will lead the following range of activities: managing all media relations, leading all standard corporate communications efforts, earnings, news releases, and creating and managing a prepared and effective incident communications program.? The incumbent also owns and manages the Speakers Bureau, as well as public relations firm relationships.Key Responsibilities: Serve as the day-to-day lead on Verisign?s corporate reputation activities, including media relations, corporate positioning and industry relations. Draft communications materials, including news releases, bios, and FAQs,, etc. Ensure materials are up to date, including corporate messaging, online news room, etc. Partner with cross-enterprise stakeholders on corporate storytelling to ensure consistency of Leads a prepared and effective incident communications program. Initiate, maintain, build and strengthen relationships with key contacts in media and industry insiders through communications programs that create measurable value for the business, protect and enhance our brand, engage and influence stakeholders, and prevent and remove barriers. Provide subject matter expertise, content and input to executive leadership as well as provide support and guidance for managing incident response.Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English or Marketing related discipline required; Master?s degree preferred.Minimum eight years required of corporate communications experience, preferably in the technology industry and with exposure to complex external stakeholder or regulatory environment.? Serving as the corporate communications expert in a highly regulated and competitive business setting is a key differentiator for the successful incumbent.Two years managerial experience required.The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring creative ideas and solutions to market competitive communications challenges.Candidate should possess strong writing abilities with an emphasis on corporate messaging and storytelling and ability to manage short-term and long-term assignments in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and discipline.
