Working with the development team in the design of software development for automation, deployment, monitoring and self-healing of the infrastructure? Coordinating operational activities amongst multiple groups of stakeholders, both technical & non-technical? for complex projects Staying current on technology and industry technology trends?that may have impact on current and future hosting operations (such as AWS, SDN, Containers etc.) Supporting internal business case development from Product Management team to help them determine hosting pricing/costing components for Exostar products and services Managing new technology vendor or data center vendor selection using a formal process, such as a RFP process; managing/negotiating multiple vendor relationships and contracts Managing resources that handle the corporate IT department You meet our ?must haves? for this role if: You have 8+ years of operational experience delivering high availability customer facing systems You have 5+?years of management experience leading IT and Operations teams?of 5+ employees You possess a demonstrated ability to build, grow and manage a team of resources to automate and manage large infrastructure? You are able to manage multiple geographically dispersed co-location sites as well as Managed Hosting Sites You can comfortably assist the business development teams in the RFP/RFI responses from a Technical Operations standpoint You have strong technical management skills You are an excellent communicator and can effectively present to customers and partners You have demonstrated abilities in optimizing capacity and cost management You possess general knowledge of network security, encryption and SIEM Your experience includes exposure to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning You have demonstrated results in influencing and partnering with groups outside of the IT Architecture realm? You can maintain existing compliance requirements and adopt new compliance requirements such as SOC 2 (SSAE 16) You specialize in assessing applicability and planning for the introduction of new technology approaches (such as Software Defined Networking) You are a US person?this is a requirement due to ITAR regulations You?re exactly who we?re looking for if: You have a Bachelor?s degree in a technical discipline ? advance degree preferred You have a track record of results in managing a multi-million dollar technology budget You have a deep understanding of the ins and outs of Capacity Planning, Performance Testing, Disaster Recovery Testing and support enterprise Risk Management initiatives You have experience with products/technologies such as F5, Nessus, Sophos, BigFix, Veracode, Tenable, NSX, VMware, Windows Group Policy, Palo Alto, Chef/Puppet, Octopus, Atlassian, CA API Gateway You have familiarity with Federal Compliance regulations/guidelines including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-63, NIST 800-171, and knowledge of FedRamp authorization levels. You sustain exceptional uptime and reliability?(> 99.9%) You have demonstrated success in automation of deployment platforms You have experience running cloud computing platforms and/or Public/Private cloud providers You are an expert in capacity planning and performance engineering for large scale web applications You possess a familiarity with running a public key infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authority (CA) and supporting components (such as Hardware Security Modules) You accept accountability for your work You enjoy collaborating with others for creative problem solving Exostar?s cloud-based, innovative solutions promote secure business collaboration within and between organizations in highly-regulated industries, including aerospace and defense and life sciences.
