Ultra Electronics Ocean Systems (UEOS) is searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented System Engineer to support the development of a new Radar system. Working closely with RF, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineers, the System Engineer will guide the development of the Radar System from initial design, through finalization of the design, and finally through the integration and test events. The System Engineer is expected to provide system level trade-space assessments of approaches working with the Project Engineer to determine the benefit trade-offs. At UEOS, the System Engineer will have the opportunity to guide the development and selection of key technologies for the Navy and will have the opportunity to work with complex software algorithms and cutting-edge digital signal processing hardware. The System Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to key strategic approaches for future proposals, IR&D, and additional development activities.Job Description:Strong attention to detail and work ethicKnowledge of proper system engineering discipline and rigor required for disciplined system developmentSignificant experience with Radar systems or similar signal processing systemsExperience and knowledge of algorithms used for navigation, periscope detection, discrimination or other parts of traditional Radar signal processingLaboratory knowledge including setup and use of Linux-based system integration, test, and executionExperience planning, reviewing, and executing integration and test events for combined hardware and software systemsAbility to document and specify system and subsystem level requirementsExperience working with a team to jointly develop a system during all phases of the development lifecycleWillingness to travel (10%)Required Skills:5+ years with master?s degree or 1O+ with bachelor?s degree in Systems/EE Engineering disciplineAbility to obtain a security clearance.?
