(DRT) is looking for a Procurement Agent to work in our Germantown, Maryland location. You may be charged with purchasing a myriad of commodities which may include electronic component suppliers, subcontractors of custom commodities such as metal or cable assemblies and electronics manufacturing service providers (contract manufacturers). ?Responsibilities: * Prepare, execute, and manage purchase orders from order placement through receipt of products and subsequent payment of invoices for assigned spend categories including products, services and technologies that may be considered inventory or non-inventory purchases. * Manage the request for quote processes, in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as necessary, including the preparation of documentation packages and RFQ letters, cost and/or price analysis, and post-award FAR flow down requirements. * Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions. * Facilitate supplier-facing agreement review and approval processes by collaborating with internal stakeholders and the leadership team, Boeing Supplier Management, and Boeing Legal team following all required due diligence processes. * Engage stakeholders to ensure that program, customer, product and in-service strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies. * Optimize execution of the supply chain balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand. * Manage supplier/subcontractor performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance. * Mitigate risks and issues. * Review and approve engineering change notices (ECNs) from procurement perspectives, and coordinate the implementation by the suppliers as necessary. * Manage excess material and obsolescence issues related to assigned commodities. * Support procurement related program management requirements for new product introduction from early design to production. ?Boeing is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems. Qualifications Qualifications (Required): * 3?or more years of experience in managing electronics manufacturing service providers (contract manufacturers), working with electronic component suppliers, subcontractors of custom commodities such as metal or cable assemblies, or experience in handling legal processes and analysis, or supplier agreement negotiation * Experience in Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems including the Material requirements planning (MRP) functions, and understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes are required. * Experience with Microsoft Excel * Willing and able to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance post hire ?Preferred Skills: * Bachelor's degree * Experience in high-tech manufacturing environments highly desirable. * Experience in procurement processes in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) highly desirable. * Strategic sourcing experience highly desirable. * Experience or education to perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification * Ability to quickly assimilate new information, processes and tools ?Typical Education / Experience: * Bachelor's degree and typically 3 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
