The team responsibilities include maintaining critical equipment in support of providing best in class availability for our data center customers. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting, tracking, and procuring the Operations Services teams assets. This is accomplished through working closely with both internal customers and external vendors to coordinate resources to facilitate smooth work execution. This critical role is responsible for all service vehicles and other high value assets and acts as the liaison in all procurement processes in support of the Operations Services team. Candidate will be a part of the Service Operations Team and will be expected to work autonomously with minimal guidance or direction. Being a self-starter with critical thinking skills is a must!Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and has significant experience in supporting service teams. They will possess the ability to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams. Those with critical datacenter environment experience are strongly encouraged to apply.Responsibilities Responsible for the administration of fleet vehicles including mileage logs, maintenance scheduling, fuel cards, expenses, registration, etc. Administrate the MVR Process (Amazon Driver Registration process) to ensure employees are approved to drive as per Amazon policy. Work with Corporate Risk Management team to ensure all vehicles are correctly registered, insured, and complainant. Interface with Corporate Tax Team to ensure that all taxes and fees are paid on time. Work with Infrastructure Procurement Services (IPS) and Supplier Delivery and Supplier Management (SPSD) teams on all new vehicle and other equipment purchases ensuring accurate documentation for purchase. Administrate the fleet PM Schedules and repair and maintenance of trucks, vans, Kubotas and other Fleet assets. Manage the Uniform Program for all Operations Services personnel ensuring all Amazon and OSHA Safety requirements are met. Responsible for overseeing the fuel contracts and deliveries for the generator fleet. Liaise with Finance team ensuring annual budget plans are appropriately updated. Request RMAs as well as ship equipment out for calibrations and repairs and track return of equipment. Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site. Remain cognizant of and act in compliance with all security protocols. Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and management on a daily basis. Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization. Deliver training to all unfamiliar with the Operations Services policies, procedures, and processes. Mentor others by motivating and providing guidance and direction to help them achieve their goals. Ability to provide enriched feedback to enhance individual performance. Ability to prioritize and manage resources under high pressure. Provide support for LSE, weather events, planned, and unplanned outages.Other duties as assigned.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 3-5 years of relevant work experience in asset management. Advanced level understanding of finance, accounting and procurement practices. Proficient with office automation solutions such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Motivates others to action. Ability to recognize safety concerns and maintain a safe work environment under NFPA 70e guidelines. Organized self-starter with quantitative analytic abilities and proven problem solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Shows good judgment and instincts in decision-making. Decisions impact team. Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment. Ability to manage vendor relationships. Candidate must meet and maintain all eligibility requirements to drive a company service vehicle, including but not limited to: must have a valid driver's license issued by the state in which they reside.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree / Certifications in Logistics or Fleet/Asset Management. Experienced in inventory control and Inventory Management Systems. Supervising teams in data center operations environment. The ability to evaluate new technology; deploy and maintain new services. High level of competence in critical equipment support. The ability to analyze competing projects, assess technical risk, and communicate impact to the business.
