The Director of Nursing coordinates and delivers quality nursing care; serves actively and constructively as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team to support the organization and program’s treatment philosophy; ensures the safety and well-being of patients This is a full time position reporting to the CEO. Key responsibilities: Responsible for coordinating nurse care for patients. Addresses nursing issues as identified in PI or risk management reports or treatment team meetings with nursing staff on a regular basis; completes nursing PI reports/data collection as delegated by the Medical Director. Oversees health maintenance of residents, schedules outside medical appointments, provides direct nursing care to patients as needed. Oversees all aspects of Infection Control. Oversees the clinical milieu. Oversees the key aspects of the staff training plan. :Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Masters preferred. Licensed by a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact as a Registered Nurse, CPR/AED certification, or able to complete certification. Prefer certification as a CPR/AED trainer. Prefer a minimum of five years nursing experience in rehab or psychiatric facility with at least two years supervisory experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen. Good verbal and written skills, ability to rotate shifts and programs as necessary and ability to maintain confidentiality of resident information. Must consistently exhibit mental and emotional ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job. Knowledge of principles of psychology and child growth and development are useful. :
