We are looking for a deep industry expert who can identify, lead and run a set of complex industry solution opportunities through delivery. This will require forming anchoring relationships through customer engagement with both internal and external partners. This role will support the Microsoft sales team pursuits, scoping proposals and ensuring delivery on groundbreaking engagements. The mission is to work with Microsoft's largest Enterprise clients to help them accelerate towards their business goals, take advantage of Digital Business Transformation, improve the business value from their Microsoft technology investments, and unleash innovation for their organization, their employees and customers. This role is critical in sales and delivery driving the discovery, ideation, and solution architecture, with a laser focus on customer business outcomes facilitated by Microsoft products and technologies. Furthermore, the role requires maintaining the business decision maker relationship and ensuring the expected business outcomes are achieved. This role requires years of direct industry experience, deep industry insight and discernment to bear on worldwide delivery opportunities and contribute to thought leadership across both Microsoft Services and the entire company. **Responsibilities** **Desired Capabilities** + Experience with operational manufacturing systems: ERP, SCM, PLM and ISA-95 systems: MES, SCADA, PLC, Historian, etc + Working knowledge of field and factory equipment physical application, operating performance and maintenance processes + Experience with asset management, equipment performance monitoring, telematics or advanced machine telemetry systems, and associated business value of digital solutions + Working knowledge of how industry standards influence solution direction, capabilities and compliance, e.g. industry STEP AP-242, SAE J1939, ANSI Z535.1, including information models such as ISO 10303-239 + Knowledge of industry solutions from Microsoft partners and their role in the overall solution architecture and fulfilment of success criteria **Role functions** + Identifying, designing and successfully executing on solution architecture that is measured by quantified business outcomes + Ability to understand the needs of nontechnical customers, to conceptualize, launch and deliver technology enabled business change projects + Defining / leading repeatable ideation steps with customers to explore art of the possible through industry specific, cross industry business solutions/patterns and technology components, and demonstrating techniques such as Design Thinking and Inclusive Design. + Leading with IP development and reuse initiatives, harvesting standard methodologies in presales, architecture, business planning, and customer engagement. + Generating trust, forming partnerships across the organization, and orchestrating interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers. + Being situationally aware to adapt and solve challenges from a business and technology perspective. + Balancing critical thinking with pragmatic operational delivery. + Partnering with the customer facing teams and other Services teams to identify, develop, lead on key digital business transformation services opportunities. + Ability to grow share of wallet for the Microsoft Platform and Microsoft Services in targeted accounts. Grow the field capability through mentoring, readiness, and community evangelism.?? **Qualifications** + 10+ years experience in conjunction 5+ years working for a brand name manufacturer (Ex: Ford, Toyota, Boeing etc...) + Deep industry expertise and business insight with name brand experience from a world-renowned manufacturer or supply chain partner + A strategic eye for the manufacturing business, industry practices and ability to architect solution approaches using Microsoft technology and offering portfolio + Ability to quickly architect digital solutions using the portfolio of Microsoft products and technologies, that directly address business measures and strategic goals of the Enterprise + Engaging with key decision makers to build unique and differentiated agile proposals focused on business impact + Ensuring project delivery meets or exceeds customer expectations for strategic fit, capabilities and performance. + Engagement with Fortune 500 customers at executive and senior levels. + Executive presence and discernment to win the hearts and minds of business leaders + Experience within Enterprise in-house strategic operating units/centers of excellence, or related advisory services including, management/technology consulting + Insight, curiosity, desire to constantly improve, acquire new skills and commit to results. + Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, and/or equivalent work experience + Executive level social, verbal, written and presentation skills, good listener, ability to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table and be an advocate of Microsoft's vision and value proposition + Solid understanding of Microsoft's offerings (or Compete) and experience with the implementation/adoption of key solutions and services such as Azure, Cloud, Platform & Productivity, Business Analytics, Devices & Mobility + Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture, IT Portfolio Lifecycle Optimization, Organizational Design and Change Management, IT Governance, etc. + This position may require up to 75% travel domestically and globally.
