Join Microsoft?s U.S. Regulated Industries team to build and drive the communications strategy for our Education business. You have the experience to build a highly effective marketing communications strategy, a deep toolkit that will help you determine the right approaches and tactics, and the project management know-how to make it happen. You will work closely with the team?s leadership, Microsoft salespeople, communications managers, marketers and engineers, to bring to life our story - and our customers? stories - across earned, owned and social media, as well as at events and other activations. Creativity, resourcefulness, confidence and negotiation skills are essential. **Responsibilities** + Develop the core narrative for the US Education team, that feeds our communications across stakeholder groups. + Build a marketing communications strategy and execution plan that elevates our storytelling, and which plugs into existing rhythms across the Company. + Create and oversee compelling content to bring our customers? stories to life in speaking opportunities, owned channels, earned media and on social. + Work closely with our corporate marketing, PR, AR and product teams to integrate our customer-centric storytelling into their efforts. + Help us bring the best communication tools to our marketing communications efforts and stay on top of what?s new. **Qualifications** + Demonstrated work examples showcasing impactful creative approaches, the art of storytelling and outstanding verbal and written communication skills - with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues + Strong organizational skills and examples of balancing competing projects and priorities. + A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable-communication plans from concept to delivery, including an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results. + The ability to work independently in ambiguous and changing environments, along with great listening, collaboration and partnering skills. + Strong executive presence, cross-group collaboration and communication skills that drive influence among the senior leaders across a highly-matrixed organization. + Demonstrated track record of success in integrated marketing and communications, with effective writing samples. + BA/BS in Journalism, English, Marketing, or Communications (or equivalent) + 10+ years of experience in communications, marketing and/or public relations. + Experience in the Education sector, and ability to express a point-of-view on sector-specific issues is an asset. + Driving inclusion with every opportunity. + Team-first attitude.
