Job Title: Senior RF/Electronics Engineering LeadLocation: Fairfax, VAClearance: DOD Top SecretJob Description: Our client, a large defense contractor, has an immediate opening for a Senior RF/Electronics Engineering Lead to work from their Fairfax, VA facility.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.REQUIRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE: B.S/M.S in Electrical Engineering or Physics with at least 10 years' experience in RF communications and EW systems design, test and verification.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working with the business capture team in the RF subsystem assessments, concept design and development approach to include proposal preparation of a shipboard Electronic Warfare (EW) system.The Electrical Engineering trades and overall System Hardware design and validation to include selection of Radio Frequency (RF) components along with Commercial Of The Shelf (COTS) network and analytic processing hardware as well as storage and remote access/interface capability.System Design Development is to include requirements fulfillment, functions and features definition, rack and stack concepts, specification adherence and the meeting of design objectives involving the RF and COTS hardware assemblies and subsystems.Support the configurational definition, preliminary, and detailed design of RF assemblies including analysis and simulation/modeling of RF and System Hardware performance.Assessment of Hardware System design w/r to compliance with MIL Standards and Specifications.Evaluate Customer RF requirements as they apply to the RF capabilities to include preparation and delivery of customer briefings and capability demonstrations.Support business development activities through analysis of customer and market requirements supported by vendor products/capabilities. Recommend the development of new capabilities in support of market and customer needs.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Leads requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of system, subsystem or system elements with little or no supervisionLeads technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elementsLeads customer requirements analysis, develops system requirements and defines allocations to lower levels (subsystem, elements and components)Leads detailed technical analyses for a system, subsystem or system elements to include: concept, requirements, design, fabrication, integration, test, acceptance, delivery, installation, training, operation, maintenance and disposalContributes to detailed technical analyses at the System of System (SOS) levelLeads evaluations of systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specificationsMay provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features (e.g., identification, authentication, access control, labeling, and auditing) of the system are considered and function properlyMay develop system security documentation on both new and fielded information systemsSynthesizes solutions to meet customer expectations and technical performance while staying within schedule and cost constraintsLeads Modeling and Simulation activitiesResearches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to
