Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldDirector of EngineeringJob Responsibilities:?Supervise and lead engineers and technicians who design, plan and develop UAS solutions while incorporating quality control.? Discuss, lay out, and document project specifications and BOMs.Job Requirements:? A minimum of 20 years working in the Tactical (Preferred) or Strategic UAS Industry.? Experience working in Groups 1-4 UAS. Groups 2 & 3 experience preferred.? Deployment experience operating/designing/managing Groups 1-4 UAS?s preferred.? Experience facilitating Groups 1-4 operations changes/issues/challenges to Engineering solutions while making design changes and repairs of a UAV system to include GCS and power plants required.? Preferred experience working with Flight test engineering to move forward from flight test/Engineering studies to production, deployment and delivery to customers.? Preferred experience working engineering & flight test on both fixed wing and rotor UAS.? Preferred experience collaborating with Engineering to collect system data from Field Service Representatives to integrate Lessons Learned? Experience in R&D to facilitate technology upgrades to support customer demands.? Coordinate with production and operations, quality assurance, and testing, for our solutions.? Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures.? Review, approve, or modify product designs.? Analyze market demand and available resources.? Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff.? Write performance reviews and solve internal issues.? Prepare budgets, and help with bids, and contracts.? Approve engineering expenditures.? Review and recommend contracts.? Develop cost estimates.? Draft proposals and reports for clients.? Develop overall concepts for a new product.? Check technical accuracy of work.? Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards.? Confer with higher levels of management.?
