**Job Title** Business Development Manager - Manufacturing **Location** Baltimore, MD, Reston, VA, Washington, DC, New York, NY, Dayton, NJ **Job Description** \u2028The Manufacturing Industry Practice is primarily responsible for developing and evangelizing the vision, strategy and solutions that promote the core businesses of our customers. In select accounts (referred to as Strategic Industry Accounts) the practice co-leads overall account strategy, develops new digital transformation stakeholder relationships and leads transformational sales pursuits in close orchestration with the core account teams. In addition to leading transformational sales pursuits in Strategic Industry Accounts, the practice provides strategic industry and thought leadership for the broader WWT Commercial Sales Team including sales training, opportunity strategy and guidance, presentation development, proposal content, and contract negotiation. We work closely with the various WWT Technology & Professional Service Practices that are ultimately responsible for architecting and implementing solutions. Industry-focused Business Development Managers are instrumental in the pursuit, development and closure of transformational sales opportunities within Strategic Industry Accounts, while enabling and supporting the broader WWT account teams across all manufacturing customers -- enabling and promoting the relevance of our Advanced Technology Center (ATC) through technical and business solutions and effectively marketing our capabilities, thereby enhancing the role of WWT with each customer and driving the profitable growth of our company. Primary Responsibilities: The primary role of an Industry Business Development Manager is the pursuit, development and closure of strategic, transformational opportunities within selected accounts (i.e.: Strategic Industry Accounts). Within these accounts, responsibilities include: + Co-leadership of overall account strategy for the pursuit of both traditional and transformational opportunities. + Internal Strategic Account Planning with core account teams, incorporating overall account strategy, identification of transformational pursuits, stakeholder mapping and stakeholder pursuit strategy. + Pursue and develop relationships with customer digital transformation stakeholders, including executive relationships. + Develop, pursue and close strategic, transformational sales opportunities. + Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals. + Partner engagement leadership for strategic, transformational pursuits. + Engage with practice leadership to explore industry-specific technology and services solutions that align to serve a broad need within the manufacturing industry. Once identified, we will subsequently engage the appropriate technology and services practices to further evaluate potential fit within WWT's Advanced Technology Center, technical viability, required investment and timeline to develop. + High-level proposal content development, which will then be leveraged by WWT's Proposal Team to generate formalized proposals for review. + Maintaining an understanding of competitive market positioning relative to technology solutions\u2028 + Work closely with our customers and WWT Sales, Professional Services, and Project Management teams in the initial launch of transformation projects, maintaining high-level oversight during project execution. + Remain current on the latest OEM solutions (including traditional I.T. and Industrial OEM's) through participation in both internal and external training.\u2028 + Work closely with CSE (Consulting Systems Engineers) and TA's (Technical Architect's) to enable mutual understanding of solutions and their fit and impact to the customer's business. Additional Responsibilities: General responsibilities, beyond transformational sales opportunities, include: + Provide strategic industry and thought leadership for various internal and external stakeholders + Provide sales training for account teams + Provide opportunity strategy and guidance for manufacturing accounts that are not designated as Strategic Industry Accounts + Presentation and Proposal content development + Orchestration of WWT resources to engage in sales opportunities **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree + Entrepreneurial spirit and a demonstrated ability to be flexible, positive, and creative in a dynamic, fast-paced and challenging environment + Minimum 7+ years of sales or business experience within the realm of manufacturing and industrial automation. + Sales experience that demonstrates success in leveraging Information Technology solutions to drive defined business outcomes + Demonstrated aptitude for complex problem solving + Ability to establish relationships, gain consensus, rapidly establish credibility with and gain confidence of multiple areas across WWT, Partners and the extended team. + Strong organizational, listening and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)\u2028 + Strong relationship building skills + Flexible Schedule\u2028 + Ability to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice
