Job Description Facilities Development Corporation (FDC) is a general contractor and builder serving U.S. Government clients at their facilities Stateside and overseas. FDC is verified SDVO Small Business with offices in Reston and Dulles, Virginia. FDC seeks a Construction Administrator to assist Project Managers and the Project Management team with daily tasks. Candidate will be required to hold or through FDC sponsorship obtain a SECRET DOD security clearance prior to beginning work. The Construction Administrator is responsible for managing all administrative aspects of a construction project from award through the close out phases, as well as, participate during bid and proposal phases. This individual must display a high degree of professionalism, organization and cooperation with customers and coworkers. DUTIES: Assist in setting up all project administration documents Create all contract documentation including subcontract agreements, change orders & purchase orders Create and/or submit daily progress reports Coordinate and track RFI questions and responses Coordinate with subcontractors on their deliverables, schedules, logistics and invoices Create/coordinate submittals Assist with updating of project schedules Ensure conformance with the contract documents Monitor all project financials; tracking planned cost vs. actual. Job progress vs. amount billed. Reviews contractor bids for adherence to RFQ and SOW documents Review customer billing requirements within the contract and complete as necessary Confirm that all project documents have been collected Ensure creation/collection of bond, certificates of insurance, signed subcontract agreements, project specifications, shop drawing, as-builts, safety plans and quality control plans Assist with bid and proposal preparation and technical writing Administrative or special projects as needed ABILITIES: Strong organization skills Attention to detail Ability to prioritize, multi-task and self-motivate Experience working in a fast-paced office environment Superior written, oral and digital communication skills Superior ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
