Are you ready to launch your career?Responsibilities SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES The next generation of space systems is being led by cutting edge research and development for national security space. This position will lead Aerospace support to a national security space customer in advanced technology development, space systems acquisition, and concept development.??The Principal Director will work with senior customers, staff, Aerospace management and subject matter experts to identify and fulfil customer needs and follow through on opportunities to inject Aerospace innovation and technology. ? KEY FUNCTIONS Lead Aerospace support to a portfolio of technology programs ranging from concept studies to flight demonstrations. Manage organizational resources to meet customer needs and comply with customer and Aerospace policies Help to insert new, innovative technologies from industry and academia into critical national systems Collaborate across Aerospace to coordinate activities with related efforts at mission partner organizations Lead, develop and mentor a high-performing staff and reachback support Provide periodic technical and execution reviews to Aerospace and customer senior management Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering, science,?mathematics or an appropriate technical discipline from a recognized institution Current TS/SCI with counter-intelligence polygraph ? REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 15 years of engineering/scientific experience? Demonstrated experience and expertise as a manager of personnel and resources Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, peers and seniors ? PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree in engineering, science, mathematics,?or an appropriate technical discipline from a recognized institution Solid understanding of customer, missions and programs Direct support of a government customer in a program office? Superior oral and written communication, organization and planning skills? Demonstrated agility and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced customer environment? Understanding of the Aerospace role and the guidelines for appropriate use of FFRDCs Knowledge of Aerospace capabilities available to meet customer and Corporate goals Knowledge of advanced technology development and insertion Transcript Requirement None ?
