Engility has an immediate opening in Chantilly directly supporting our IC customer. The position requires strong system engineering perspective and leadership skills to support a customer team in technical coordination, risk assessment, progress tracking, and implementation trades. Support oversight of development contractor activities, including planning of verification and test activities, and test witnessing. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, proven leadership ability, and a strong desire to work in a dynamic team environment are a must. Candidate must be highly skilled in Excel, PowerPoint and Project to support program activities. In this role you will: Perform research and developmental activities focusing on measuring and characterizing the acoustics of aircraft Enhance existing software for particular applications, and troubleshoot software in laboratory and field environments to support technology shakeouts Participate in experiments to conduct data collection with respect to aircraft acoustics, and manage data sets to support product development Provide subject matter expert (SME) expertise on hardware and software developments and coordinate technical and remote site activities Prepare technical and program briefings as well as participate within the organization at all levels for both internal and external research related projects or programs Provide weekly reports on findings in accordance with this tasking and documentation as required Support office functions such as property tracking and data management Qualifications: Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph Requires a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Scientific field Must have a minimum of 15 years professional experience Minimum of 3 years professional or academic experience relating to acoustic measurement or simulation and modeling for aircraft Understanding of how characterize the acoustics of different environments Ability to travel OCONUS, a few times a year, most likely a week at a time Desired Qualifications: Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or similar Experience in a research and development environment EEO Statement: Engility Corporation is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
