Job DescriptionOutpatient primary care practice is seeking a physician to join the team to serve our Germantown, MD patients. Office based practice. Quality focus verses quantity. We are seeking practitioners that follow evidence based practices. Understanding of ACO and PCMH models helpful. EHR experience required.This position has opportunity to become a shareholder within three years.Essential Job Responsibilities:Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses including minor procedures. Consults with and refers to specialists as medically indicated.Monitors therapies and provides continuity of care.Triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Responds to emergencies including use of CPR.Counsels patient/family on preventive health care.Documents patient information and care in medical record and may maintain department statistical database for research purposes.Monitors and completes incoming and outgoing patient communication (PAQ, electronic Rx prescribing, inbox, portal messages, etc).Ensure patient receives and understands patient plans.Provides on-call coverage on nights/weekends in an on-call rotation.Provides leadership to the Primary Care Medical Home teamComply with and support practice policies and procedures, including but not limited to: OSHA, HIPPA, PPA Compliance PolicyEducation: MD or DO degree and successful completion of accredited medical residency program in family medicine, internal medicine or internal medicine/pediatricsExperience: One year of physician experience and Board Certification in a primary care medical specialtyOther Requirements: To maintain their medical license, physicians must log 50 hours of continuing medical education every two years, maintain Maintenance of Certification yearly requirements as per their specialty, and sit for Board recertification exam every 7-10 years depending on his or her specialty.
